santa-photo-dogPhotos with Santa Claus: one of Christmas’s most fun and time-honoured traditions returns to the Stonebridge Town Centre in December.

Once again the merchants of the Stonebridge Town Centre in Wasaga Beach are hosting Santa’s Castle for photos with St. Nick.

It’s not just for children anymore: the young and heart and our canine friends get their photos with Santa too.

“You are never too old to visit Santa,” says Mary Ann Watts of Wild Wing.

Santa’s Castle is located in the Stonebridge Town Centre beside Sunset Grill and will be open from Dec. 4 to 22. The Stonebridge Princess magically appears for visits.

santa's-castle-stonebridge-princessPhotos cost $12 and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Wasaga Beach Public Library: Santa’s Helpers are volunteers supporting this fund.

The photography is sponsored by Wild Wing Wasaga Beach and the printing is sponsored by the UPS Store. Global Pet Foods is supplying dog treats: dozens of dogs have visited Santa’s Castle.

Santa’s Castle hours:

Friday, Dec. 4, 11, 18 • 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturdays: Dec. 5, 12, 19 • noon to 4 p.m.

Sundays: Dec. 6, 13, 20 • noon to 4 p.m.

Monday and Tuesday Dec. 21 and 22 • 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dog Photos: Thursday Dec. 10 and 17  • 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Photos with Santa’s make great memories and gifts: they are a wonderful way to get energized for Christmas. It’s fun for kids and adults, so why not take a big smile, a few of your pals, your best guy or gal and have your photo taken with St. Nick.

To generate the best photo, here are some tips:

  • Take your little one after they’ve had a nap and perhaps something eat
  • If your child is fussy take their favourite toy to help soothe them or make them smile
  • Introduce them to Santa a few days before your photo day, so they won’t be scared
  • Be patient with him or her
  • For adults, go in with a sense of whimsy and joy
  • Wear something that is comfortable and makes you feel great.

The Stonebridge Town Centre is located at 291 Main Street at Stonebridge Boulevard in Wasaga Beach, just steps from Beach 1. Parking is free. Visit and
